7 homemade remedies for hair loss

  • Onion

Onion has high levels of Sulphur, a mineral that stimulates collagen production, which determines hair growth.

Remedy: Apply the juice obtained from a chopped onion on your scalp and wait for about 15 minutes. Clean your hair with shampoo and let it dry naturally. Repeat the remedy two times a week.

  • Henna

Henna has been used to color and condition your hair, but it also combats hair loss by strengthening it from the root. You can also mix it with other ingredients for better results.

Remedy: Boil 250 ml of mustard oil with 60 gr of dried henna leaves and strain the mixture. Apply the oil on your hair and massage gently for several minutes. Leave your hair rest for about one hour before washing it off. Alternatively, you can grind henna leaves to powder and mix them with curd, applying it the same way. Follow the remedy regularly, if you want positive result.

  • Egg

Egg is one of the best ingredients when it comes to hair fall, due to its mineral composition: sulphur, selenium, zinc, phosphorus and iodine.

Remedy: Beat an egg white with a tsp of virgin olive oil and cover your hair and scalp with the resulting paste. Leave it on up to 20 minutes, then clean your hair with shampoo and warm water.

  • Coconut

Coconut oil or milk is rich in minerals, proteins and fats, the key ingredients that keep your hair healthy and prevents it from breaking and falling.

Remedy: Apply some warm coconut oil on your hair and massage gently. Keep it on for about an hour, then rinse it off with warm water. Alternatively, mix some coconut milk with water and apply it on your scalp. Leave it rest overnight and rinse the following morning.

  • Hibiscus

Hibiscus has multiple advantages for your hair: it nourishes it, removes dandruff, prevents hair discoloring and, more important, it prevents hair loss.

Remedy: Combine some crushed hibiscus flowers with several drops of coconut or sesame oil and apply the paste on your hair. Several hours later, remove the paste by washing it with cold water and shampoo.

  • Garlic

Similar to onion, garlic has regenerative properties, being used in controlling the hair fall.

Remedy: Boil several crushed garlic cloves in some coconut oil and let it cool down. Apply the paste on your hair and wait for about 30 minutes, then wash gently. Follow the treatment two times every week.

  • Indian gooseberry

Due to the fact that it has vitamin C and antioxidants in its composition, Indian gooseberry stops hair fall.

Remedy: Mix some Indian gooseberry juice or powder with lemon juice, then spread it all over your scalp. Once it has dried, wash your hair with warm water.
